How many times does it happen that you want to cook something you open your fridge and food cupboard and don't find all the ingredients..so then you decide to change your cooking plan ...
I love Chinese food and friday was one of those days when I just felt like having chinese...i checked my fridge and cup board...noodles were there..but didn't have chicken or paneer or baby corn to make a side dish..I could see some cauliflower just hiding behind the lettuce .....So i decided to try something Chinese with it....may be a chilli gobhi ..sounds indian but it was truly chinese...have a look !!

Ingredients
10- 12 Cauliflower florets
1 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp ginger paste
2 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp maida
1 tsp chilli flakes
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
1tbsp soya sauce
1/4 cup chopped spring onions
3tbsp tomato ketchup
3tbsp tomato ketchup
1tbsp chilli sauce
In a bowl, mix together cornflour, maida, salt, and pepper. Mix in half the garlic paste and soy sauce and some water to form a batter.
Dip cauliflower in batter, then fry until golden brown, about 4 to 5 minutes.
In another pan saute spring onions .Add remaining garlic paste and ginger paste and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add ketchup, remaining soya sauce, chilli sauce and 1⁄4 cup water; simmer until sauce is thickened, about 1–2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix in the fried florets and serve hot with noodles
So next time you feel like having something don't change your plan, go ahead and experiment !!
