Wraps and rolls have been my all time favourite from NCR days....When I was in Noida, rolls were the most popular street food ..there was a place called Zaika where we used to hangout and relish those mouthwatering rolls...Then when I shifted to Delhi I came across this 36 chowringee rolls... wow these rolls were to die for...its exciting watching the rolls being made in front of you and anticipating in the que that yeah this one 's yours....;PPP....And how can I not mention kebab rolls of lucknow which my brother always gets for me whenever I'm there...I wish someday I would be able to make such rolls....coz all these rolls have some secret ingredient which makes them so succulent and awesome....!!
Well until I find that I satisfy my tastebuds with this one...and other similar veg versions...!!
CHICKEN TIKKA WRAP/ROLL
Ingredients
For marinade
300 gm chicken breast diced
1 cup hung curd
1 tsp tandoori masala
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 /2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp jeera powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
For wrap
6 Tortilla wraps /Chapatis
1 cup Lettuce
1/2 cup Coriander-mint chutney
6 Eggs
3 tbsp Tomato salsa/tomato chutney
Method
Marinate the chicken pieces for 3-4 hours.Thread the chicken into skewers and roast in a preheated oven at 200 C till its done. The time taken to cook would vary depending on your oven..mine took 30 minutes. Now you can enjoy a few pieces with chutney as we always do before making the rolls :PP..
Now warm the tortilla on a pan.Break an egg over it and flip to cook.Take the cooked tortilla...Add some salsa...place some lettuce pieces.Add the chicken pieces ...add some mint coriander chutney ...wrap it and enjoy...!!!!
