Hope you all had a great Valentine's day with your loved ones.I baked this out of the world ultimate chocolate cake for this day and it turned out simply divine .Looking at the picture below you must be wondering its deadly dark but I must tell you its deadly delicious. And as I am writing this I can't resist myself from getting up and grabbing another piece of cake from the refrigerator...O God this cake is irresistible !!!!
Without much ado I'll share the recipe with you so that you can also go crazy with this scrumptious cake !!
Ingredients
1 3/4 cup All purpose flour
2 cups Sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup Yoghurt
1/2 cup Oil
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla extract
3/4 cup Coffee(3/4 cup water mixed with 2tsp of instant coffee powder)
Method
Preheat oven to 180 C.Sift the flour,baking powder,baking soda,cocoa powder,sugar and salt into a bowl and mix until combined.In another bowl combine yoghurt,oil,eggs and vanilla extract.Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry .Beat well.Add coffee and stir well to combine.(coffee should be at room temperature). Pour it into greased cake pan and bake it for 35-40 minutes(until cake tester comes out clean) at 180 C.Icing is optional ,I used chocolate butter cream frosting and strawberries.
