shubh mahashivratri

Wishing you a Happy Mahashivratri...may Lord Shiva bless everyone!!!
On this auspicious day I made this sweet flavoured yoghurt called "Shrikhand". Its a classic dessert prepared by  transforming yoghurt  into an aromatic delicacy.
Its really easy to make and  I used fat free Yogurt making it  a low cal yet delectable dessert.

Here's the recipe for you.:

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups Hung curd/yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp milk, warmed
  • Pinch of saffron strands
  • 1/4 sugar
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of cardamom powder

Method

Take the warmed milk in a small bowl.Add  saffron to it, give it a quick stir and let it sit for about 5 minutes. In another bowl, take Yogurt.Add sugar to it and beat it well until well blended and smooth. It takes on a creamy consistency.
Now add the saffron milk along with the spices and give it a good mix.Now chill it for 2-3 hours.Garnish with almonds and serve chilled.
